Tarmstedt Exhibitions 2025
The traditional Tarmstedt Exhibitions took place from July 4 to 6, 2025 – this year under a special auspice: the 75th anniversary of the popular agricultural and trade show was celebrated. With over 750 exhibitors on the more than 18-hectare site, numerous demonstrations, and a diverse supporting program, the event once again attracted thousands of visitors from the region and beyond. Under the motto “Tradition Meets Future,” agricultural businesses, regional craft businesses, educational institutions, and environmental associations presented themselves on the spacious grounds. This year’s highlight was the close connection between sustainability and technology, which was reflected in many exhibition areas.
A special highlight of the program was the joint booth of the Lower Saxony/Bremen Renewable Energy Association (LEE), which offered a platform for information and educational opportunities related to renewable energies in a specially set-up tent. The German Wind Power Museum also participated with its own contribution.
At the museum’s booth, visitors could learn about the history of wind energy use, the museum itself, and current developments in wind technology. The focus of the trade fair presentation, however, was an environmental education program for young people and students, conducted using appropriate sets from LexSolar. Specially equipped experiment kits offered interactive stations focused on the use of wind energy.
Particular attention was paid to an experiment module that investigated the influence of different rotor blade shapes and angles of attack. The young people were able to get hands-on, swapping rotors, changing the angles, and directly observing how the performance of the wind turbine changes. This provided a playful experience of how crucial the aerodynamic design of the rotor blades is for efficient energy yield. The experiment vividly illustrated that even small changes can have major effects – a central principle of modern wind energy technology.
The German Wind Power Museum’s booth was very popular, especially with students and families. The successful combination of information, interactivity, and practical experience made the presentation a true highlight in the educational section of the Tarmstedt Exhibitions 2025.
With its commitment, the German Wind Power Museum not only contributed to the dissemination of knowledge but also underscored the relevance of historical and modern wind technology for a sustainable future.
