Environmental Education

Experimentation at the German Wind Power Museum

Many citizens, and especially young people, are highly motivated to advocate for renewable energies in the context of the current climate debate. Others often express fear or outright rejection due to ignorance or misinformation.
The German Wind Power Museum aims to contribute to objectivity.

Environmental education is currently becoming a central component of the museum’s portfolio.
Six new experiment kits allow children, young people, and interested adults to experience renewable energies through experiments.

The aim is to stimulate young people’s curiosity, especially in solving technical challenges creatively. This also gives the museum a career-oriented aspect. It promotes technical careers or degree programs. Sociopolitical aspects will also be addressed and explored, for example, through role-playing activities.
Experimentation courses at the museum or in schools can now be coordinated with the museum.
