It was an exciting opportunity to get a closer look at the so-called low-wind turbine. The prototype of the Maxcap 141 model is \u2013 as the name suggests \u2013 designed for lighter winds and reaches its optimum earlier than regular wind turbines, resulting in more full-load hours and making the turbine optimized for base load. This should also significantly increase the durability of the turbine. The rated output of 2.5 MW is already achieved at wind speeds of around 7.5 m\/s. This promotes more consistent power generation but prevents the utilization of strong winds. An interesting concept! Furthermore, it was simply impressive to see the wind turbine from the inside, and the view from the roof of the nacelle was simply unique; the long climb was worth it!
